Welcome to South Side Parents web-site!

South Side Parents (SSP) is a not-for-profit organization that connects parents and their young children to other South Side families and organizations striving for access to educational and enrichment program excellence.  We are a support group for our members who have an interest in, live or work on the South Side of Chicago.  All activities and events are led by our team of dedicated volunteers.

The members of SSP know how challenging it can be to find great educational options for our children. Rest assured you are not alone! Through our on-line parent discussion board, meetings, programs, and informal gatherings, SSP seeks to recognize, strengthen and support concerned parents by sharing resources and experiences and to highlight the importance of community involvement in improving and sustaining quality education for all children on the South Side of Chicago.

South Side School, Summer Camp and Activities Fairs have become a wonderful resource for Chicago parents and educators. The fairs provide an opportunity for parents to gain information and applications about many different schools and businesses in one day, at one location. Vendors set up their information at tables and parents go to each table to pick up print information and speak to the school representatives.
